Amanda Hoback
As a hobby, Amanda began her journey into the chalk art world in 2016 with the encouragement of fellow chalk artists from Atlanta, GA, Jessi Queen and Zach Herndon. Her first Arbor Lakes event was in 2017. This year will be Amanda's second visit.
Normally, Amanda enjoys creating fantasy (dragons!) and/or imaginative portraits at chalk events. Amanda currently spends her "real life" working full-time at Hafendorfer Machine, Inc. in Louisville, Kentucky where she operates CNC milling machinery; and as a contractor artist for the Weber Group, Inc. in Sellersburg, Indiana, where she gets to do fun things like paint props for roller coaster rides, sculpt with epoxy, and burn geometric images into blocks of wood.
Amanda's short chalk journey has taken her primarily to Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. But she has also participated in events in Colorado and Minnesota. In late 2018, Amanda was invited to create a piece for American Idol during their Louisville, KY auditions.
