Ignacio de Jesús Chávez

At the age of 22, Ignacio de Jesús Chávez had participated in more than 20 collective exhibitions in Querétaro, Guadalajara, State of Mexico, San Miguel de Allende and San Luis de la Paz. He has excelled in various painting, drawing, and sculpture competitions that have earned him first places at the regional and state level. In 2016 he was accredited by the Santiago Carbonell Foundation, in the Madrid-Rome-Paris Travel Grant. He goes through a stage of pictorial experimentation where his work makes reference to dream surrealism and symbolism, touching themes such as self-portraiture, irony in various contemporary themes, appropriationism, among others. His work is never separated from realistic painting and a refined technique.
